Rival's AXEial anti-shock and vibration tool also know as the AXE TOOL™ is designed to absorb and eliminate axial shocks and excitation whereas traditional spring-based shock tools and thrusters redirect vibrations and excitation without removing them from the BHA.
Whether drilling conventionally or with an RSS system, the patented design's anti-shock elements interrupt axial shock and vibration cycles. In addition, it's preloaded assembly provides bi-directional dampening with any amount of weight applied.
